EFTPOS revolutionised the way New Zealanders pay for goods and services. The days of paying by cheque — and wondering whether it would bounce — are long behind us.

Eftpos Systems began trading on 1 March 1994, supplying retailers and installing Hypercom terminals — the only brand available in the New Zealand EFTPOS market at the time. That makes us one of the longest-standing EFTPOS specialists in the country, having supplied electronic funds transfer at point of sale (EFTPOS) systems, payment solutions, thermal rolls and POS systems since 1994.

In 1997, we expanded further, establishing Eftpos Service — a dedicated EFTPOS repairs company.

Over 30 years on, and through multiple generations of payment technology, Eftpos Systems Ltd continues to deliver the latest solutions, backed by one of the deepest track records in the industry.

The 21st century has ushered in a new era of payments — contactless, PayWave, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Android Pay, Alipay, Tap on Mobile, and more still to come. We’ve kept pace with every shift.
